Five Years of PNP!
Prailey Nicole Photography is celebrating five years of business! The Lord has blessed and taught me so much through this venture, and through all the highs and lows He has been with me every step of the way.
I wanted to write this blog to reminisce on these last five years and look forward to what’s to come. Let’s jump right in!
The journey taken
When I started PNP five years ago, I was just a high schooler with a basic camera and a big dream. Taking pictures of my classmates soon turned to a paying job. It’s so crazy looking back at all the pictures I’ve taken and seeing how much I’ve grown as a photographer over these last few years.
It has been an absolute privilege capturing memories for my amazing clients. I wouldn’t be here without them, and I cannot thank them all enough for trusting me with such precious moments.
Some of my sweet clients have even gotten their pictures taken many times throughout the last several years. You’ll recognize the pictures below of my fifth grade teacher and her adorable family—time goes by so fast!

Looking back at pictures from years ago makes me think of everything I would’ve done differently, whether that’s concerning posing, editing, or if I should’ve taken up certain requests for things. At the same time, though, I am so grateful I went through all of that growth and learned so much from every picture and every shoot. Without all those sessions, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today.
Something else that has been such a unique opportunity for me is taking pictures of my own family. It has meant so much to take pictures of my aunt, uncle, and cousins almost every year since I started PNP. This last fall, we even found the same yellow tree we had taken pictures by a few years before!

Big accomplishments
I can’t talk about these past five years of PNP without mentioning that I was nominated for some awards! While I didn’t win either of them, it was such an honor to be considered.
First, I was nominated for Best Portrait Studio/Photographer in the Norman Transcript’s Readers’ Choice Awards two years in a row. Some wonderful clients helped in getting me nominated, and I hope they know how much that meant to me.
Second, I was also nominated for the CommunityVotes Norman category of best photographer this past spring. While I didn’t win this one either, it was cool to be nominated nonetheless.
Graduation!
The biggest achievements I’ve had during these last five years is graduating school. A few years ago, I graduated high school, and now I’m about to graduate college!
When I first started applying to colleges, I was very adamant about going to a Christian university. I wanted a school that lined up with my beliefs as a Christian and one that would value me as a student, even in an online setting.
Now that I’m in my last semester of college, it feels so surreal that I’m almost finished. Liberty University has been the best college I could’ve ever asked for. I’ve not only learned much about business and applied it to PNP, but I’ve also gotten to learn more about God and the Bible and grow in my faith.
I want to share a few of my senior pictures I got to take recently up in Oklahoma City! We found some amazing spots around Scissortail Park and the Myriad Gardens, and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.

The journey continues…
